Irvine Bartlett

Irvine’s work centers  race, gender, sexuality, and the intersections of these aspects of identity. They intend for their work to sit between fashion and fine art photography, which represents those who are not often included in the narratives of these realms of the creative industry.

What do you find most inspiring about the art/world right now?

All the young queer, trans, non binary people of colour that are fighting to have their voice heard and to be seen in an industry that is struggling to catch up with the reality of the world.

What do you want to convey to the rest of the world?

The beauty and strength of people of colour and the queer community.

How would you say London expresses itself?

London really expresses itself through fashion, it really reflects the diversity of people’s experiences and their cultures. I think that.
